There are many measures being realised to improve the social dimension in the European Higher Education Area. However, there is a lack of data on what concrete measures are taken at the national regional and institutional level to foster equitable access, retention and completion of higher education.

The Ministers responsible for higher education committed in the Bucharest Communiqué from 2012 to collect and share data on the social dimension of higher education ("we encourage the use of peer learning on the social dimension and aim to monitor progress in this area").

In order to address this gap, the PL4SD project encourages ministries responsible for higher education to contribute to the peer learning process for the social dimension by completing the questionnaire below. In addition, other stakeholders at the national and international level such as rectors' conferences, student unions and other relevant organisations are also encouraged to participate by providing examples of measures or by providing comments to the measures described by the ministries in their respective countries.
